About Farmville NC
Farmville, NC, is located in the heart of eastern North Carolina, just ten minutes from Greenville. Early settlers in the 1760's saw the potential of the fertile land and so began the development of a farming community.
In 1952, an economic development council was established which expanded the vision of the area to include attracting industry and other businesses, which expanded the community and opportunities for employment.
The latter fuelled more demand for housing and today Farmville is the second largest employer in Pitt County.
Home to four schools with a vibrant center, Farmville was recently named a finalist in the All-America City competition.
